Downloaded - now what do I do with it?

    • +1

I used it to find the Wuhan virus on my network

      • -8

It is the wuhan virus though

        • +1

          No it's not.

The International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses has formally named the virus that causes COVID-19, severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 or SARS-CoV-2.

You can follow Trump's ridiculous and racist example if you like, but every reputable scientific and medical organisation on the planet isn't. I know who I agree with and it ain't Trump.

Will I be getting internet forever?

i'm assuming that i can use this app to scan the channels in my surrounding and neighbouring apartments so i can select appropriate channels to use for my wifi connections? TIA

      Pfft. Don't get so technical.

      • +2

        don't be so non-technical.

    • +4

It does, but I'd say the WiFiman app by Ubiquity does this better, with a nicer interface.

    • +1

Have you tried NetSpot? It's free and it does that with a nice easy interface.

      • Nope I haven’t but will give it a try. Thanks

I like Wifi Analyzer for that. You can also use it to draw a map of your house and then go around making readings to build a heatmap of signal strength.

I don't get it.. I do like a bargain though *downloads

  • Not sure why I downloaded and why I am upvoting … But still will do as its 100+ upvotes so must be good :D

    • I'm currently using (one of the) wifi analyser apps as well as fing. Looks like this does the same as both of these?

  • Thank you OP but no… Not this time… I don't know what I would use this for and tonight I draw the line! I know it's free and over 100 up votes, but I need help with my FOMO… Thanks anyway!

Thanks. It's an amalgamation of wifiman and fing. I like the calculator and the map it gives for traceroutes.

This is a sweet deal. Useful for programming router with MAC address of house devices to assign IP, so Kodi etc knows where to look for media files etc.

    • OK you had me at Kodi. Downloaded…
