Title a bit misleading but the correct info is in the post. This weekends beta is for PS4 only. Next weekend is for everyone.

    • +6

      Characters in title are limited.
Plus I did not want to have to make two different posts with different dates.
But what you say is noted.

  • Any zombies in the beta?

    • Doubt it

    • +2

Only zombies are the dead horse that keeps getting flogged year on year by activi$ion.

  • Does anyone know the time PS4 players who didn't pre-order but want to play from tomorrow can download the file?

    • +1

      PlayStation 4 (Week 1 and 2): Pre-load the Beta starting on October 6 at 8 a.m. PDT.

      • Don't think that's correct. Pre-load is only available right now for those WHO HAVE pre-ordered. My question was geared towards those who HAVE NOT.

        • Then it seems they forgot that info on their blog. I would assume when it is the starting date in the US but that is just a guess as I don't know.
Sorry, I wish I could give you that info.

        • Apparently there is no pre-load if you haven't pre-ordered.

          • @wangasm: so tomorrow (early hours of the morning) I'll be able to download?

            • @ThePriceMatchGuy: I think it's more likely to be Sunday morning since that'll be 2 days after the early access which started today. See my post below

End Time (Everyone): Tuesday 4am AEDT

I remember when people used to pay YOU to be the test subjects. Million dollar company too cheap to pay actual testers….

Where are those bargains. I want, give an organ receive a Hisense 75" TV bargain.

I get it. You have a go for free and provide feedback. They might even have the audacity to give you a free loot crate!!! And they value it at $11. 99 AAA. Gross.

I remember people buying crackdown on 360 to play the Halo 3 beta, so I spose this has been happening for a long time in the videogame industry?

      • Sure has, Still Gross.

    • A lot of big developers will still do "paid" play testing. Activision in particular have a web page where you can sign up as a play tester and they will give you stuff for your participation including (but not necessarily limited to) games, apparel, gift cards or unique items.

But even with private in-house play testing having public betas like this as well are still extremely valuable as the game is being tested within a real world environment which provides extremely useful performance feedback they simply cannot get within their controlled lab conditions.

  • happy with modern warfare.

Same here, cold war feels plasticky.

  • They have already ruined the part i was excited about from the alpha and that is they have made it so lobbys disband after every match.

Immediately went from can't wait for the game to idk if i even want it when i found out.

  • Will take the free path.

Belongs in forums… its not a deal of any kind.

Preload is live now for PC at least.

    • Can you pre-load for the open beta? I only see options to pre-purchase the game.

      • I did :) (PC)
