It's a good drop, unfortunately shipping kills the deal for me

Sadly freight aint free, but we do what we can. For feedback to help us understand your reasoning, what state are you in & what is acceptable freight for you to pay in your mind?
      Cheers in advance.

      • Understandable, beer is heavy and postage isn't cheap. I'm in perth, would happily drive an hour to pick up but can't bring myself to wait 2+ weeks and pay $16 postage. Probably more like $10 would be more enticing but the long wait time is still a killer for me

        • Thanks for the feedback. We provide the generous timeframes because anything can happen as we ship fragile items and we are not in the business of providing false hope to secure a sale that results in customers calling a week later claiming we promised a delivery date. Also at the moment AusPost has been inconsistent in timeframes. In most cases though we have goods delivered within 5 business days for Metro Perth.

IMO this taste more like pale ale than lager , maybe im weak!

$39.99 + $17 shipping makes me hesitate to buy but if it was listed $56.99 with free shipping it probably would've been straight into my cart. The brain is a weird.
Anyway, I like this beer and for those on the eastern seaboard mainland states with cheaper shipping it's a better price than I've seen before.

    • Cheers for the feedback.

    • Yes. It's a weird mental thing, I'm the same. I see a $xx shipping cost and think, nah, I'll go to BWS as it's free.
      Silly I know.

A heads up - I just received my order and it is NOT imported - the box clearly says brewed in Australia by Lion under license by Brooklyn Brewery.

      Hey Mate,

Our bad. The online loading of this product here at OzBargain was not completed by the same team members that look after the beers and who had loaded it on our site. They missed the Brewed in NSW under license component. We sincerely apologise for this error and have updated this post appropriately. Our website has always stated manufactured in NSW Australia, we definitely had no intention to mislead.

Still a great beer and we hope you have still enjoyed it.

      Cheers,

      WSD

      Does it still taste good?

That's the main thing when you buy a slab at this price.

      • +2

Received my slab and it's brewed in NSW by Lions under license taste-wise, it tastes pretty good lots of nice hop. Buying another 2 slabs right now. Good bargain!

Just cracked open my first one.

They are great and I can't taste the difference compared to the imported Brooklyn lager - though it has been a while since I last had it.

      • +1

Yep, cracked one tonight and it tastes great. Even if ain't super fresh, hops coming through nicely, and I couldn't tell difference between the US brewed version and this (although it has been some time since I had the latter). Cheers for addressing it OP!
