HeroQuest Mythic Edition - $300 - EB Games Australia

Hi all,

This one is for those wanting HeroQuest without having to transship it from the US. A friend in a facebook group mentioned the total cost for that was about $350, so not sure if this is worth making a deal for.

Note that expected delivery is this time next year. You're very much supporting a kickstarter rather than straight buying a product.

Cheers,
Paul

  • The price on this game is mindboggling, for something with outdated mechanics and ok components.

  • I only play this so I can say "The Gargoyle"

  • I was really excited when this was announced but the price is just insane.

I've preordered this from EB. Working out post forwarding from America brings it to about $298 if its 10kg. Even with the code EMPLOYEE bringing the mythic bundle down to $90USD

The best thing about hero quest is the Brodeswode!

  • Damn. I remember buying this game when it originally came out. I still had it up unitl I moved back to NSW. Some things had to go in the move and figured that I hadn't played it in 15 or more years, it was a good chance to throw it out. I did manage to keep a few of the figurines though.

    • Damn, the original versions are worth big money now, especially if intact

The only thing better than Heroquest is more Heroquests. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cx8sl2uC46A

  • Meh. I still have the original and 3 expansions in good condition that we've played even recently. Happy to keep using them rather than this reskin for $300.

Hold onto them as long as you can. The prices for the originals in good condition (especially the expansions) are only going up.

Will never sell. Were given to me as a present as a 10 year old and played it as kids.
Played it as adults with friends and when the child is old enough, will play it again. Great introduction to fantasy games.

We got the UK rule set in Aus. I found the US rulebook and quests online and printed them out along with extra cards and treasure etc. UK ruleset is really simple and aimed at kids. US ruleset is better imo and allows more flexibility for the players. Enemies have more than 1 HP too.
