Hi all, my first contribution to OzBargains :)

I was at my local Harris Farm Markets last weekend and saw an in-store poster: Buy a 458ml pint of Ben & Jerry's ice cream ($11.95) and receive an all-aluminum ice cream scoop at the cashier! The scoop is of very good quality. Ice cream does not stick to the scoop. Very happy about this free gift and no more bent spoons!

(Note: Last time I checked there's no mention of this deal on Ben & Jerry's official site. Therefore, I'm not able to provide a link)

    I guess it's a good deal since you get something for free, but Ben & Jerry's ice cream is terribly overpriced. You can get a 5L tub from Woolies and a $2 scoop from Ikea and still have some spare change.

    (Yes, I have tasted it. It's obviously better than your typical supermarket ice cream but it's nothing to write home about.)

        That was my reasoning when I paid nearly $9 for a (not very) large shake at one of their stores. I still regret it to this day.

    They've got the deal going at Blockbuster in Rowville, Vic.

    Got a tub of Half Baked tonight. Sooooo good.

    And yeah, the scoop is really good quality.

    is it better than the free blue ribbon ice cream scoop from woolies a week ago. that was pretty nice quality too imo (and ergonomic!)

      they are all made in China anyways, I doubt there is too much of a difference except for branding

    They have the deal going at a convenience store near Indooroopilly in Brisbane and the sneaky moles have it as buy THREE pints of Ben and Jerrys and get an ice cream scoop…

    $12 is very pricey, but ice cream in general has gone up to ridiculous prices. I was buying some in coles the other weeks, and they had Connisier (or however u spell it) 1L for $10. And Sara Lee 1L for about $9. And Movenpick 900mL for $15.
    Everyone's trying to charge a premium, because of these american brands like Ben & Jerry's, Baskin Robbins, Homer Hudson.

    Love Ben and Jerry's and Movenpick. Given that it's not purchased on a daily basis I think the price is alright actually.

    I go cheap on most things (OzBargain style), but when it comes to ice cream, you can't go wrong with Ben & Jerry's. Great deal! :) Will look out for this.
