So I'm always sceptical of car salespeople selling shite you don't need. Just a bought a new Suzuki Swift (Black), which I pick up next weekend. They are offering me Paint Shield, Platinum Nature Guard and Window Tinting for $1363 (inc GST). The car will be garaged at night, but spend the weekdays in the Queensland sun (open car park at work).
Two questions: Do I really need this? Is it a good price?
Get it done professionally after you take delivery if you really want it. I wouldn’t have it done by the dealer.

The dealer doesn't do it - they have someone else do it for them (…probably the same person you'd have do it) and then they mark it. up.
Suggest you read some of the earlier posts on the subject and make up your mind.

If you can - pursue their extras package if it lowers the cost of the car as an itemised quote. Dealers love their extras package as it is pure profit. Then drop extras and sign for the cheaper priced car

No. Spend some money on quality detailing gear, give it a good coat of wax, sealant over the top and repeat every ~3 months to keep the paint shiny and protected.

Few years back dealers offered me paint protection - said paint could fade in time.
And I replied: you mean my white paint will become invisible??? Oh, dear …. when…
And offers stopped.
Pure waste of money if you ask me - you will sell this car in 5-10 years, not after 25-30.
Rip off.
Get the tinting done privately if you think it is a necessity.
Nothing will protect the car from natures elements when parked outside contrary to any amazing promises.
Save your $$$ for something worthwhile.
Never get this stuff from a dealer.
They tried to upsell me on everything…Blackvue 2 way cameras, tint, leather protection, paint protection, alloy protection etc etc…it's their usual spiel, I just politely declined all.
Just get it after for pretty much half the price elsewhere.
Can likely find paint protection and tinting cheaper (and better) outside the dealer, so just get it done after wards.
