Business Shirts for $29 (Plus Delivery, Free over $100) @ Van Heusen

140

Not everyone on Ozbargain likes the VH shirts but I do for four main reasons:
1. They are a fairly light shirt and very wearable in warm weather,
2. They are fairly easy to care for - my heavier shirts are a b*tch to iron - these are easy,
3. They have a wide range of colours, fits and patterns, and
4. They allow you to choose both collar and sleeve lengths. I have a 41 collar but need a 94 sleeve. Not many shirts give you that option.
This is not the cheapest they have been but its a good deal if you happen to need some now.

Bet pants sales are down. I don't think I have worn dress pants for many months.

Lol - these shirts are Zoom-friendly.

  • There also seems to be $20 off first order. Are these prices like Boxing day prices. Some nice looking shirts. Oh I also haven't really had to iron many shirts either. Only wear a shirt for those Zoom meeting even then, most ppl are just very casual as they know everyone is working from home.

Spend $10/shirt more and buy CT. U can chose non-iron, collar size and sleeve length. Will last longer that VH too.

Agree with this. Van Heusen are garbage quality.

They're no longer a 'designer' but slap their logo on anything for a fee. Same for Pierre Cardin and couple others.

      • Thanks for that. Have some very old VH shirts that really held up, esp the non iron (in reality less iron). Also got some FJ at the same time. Will wait for CT deal

    • Where is the CT?

    • I'd suggest costco kirkland shirts at a similar pricepoint. Bit thicker and more robust.

$29 was absolutely bad value when we used to get those 3 for $33 CT deals, delivered.
Surprisingly haven’t seen those in yonks

  • I disagree with the poor quality comments. I think the shirts are OK and for the price you get decent wear out of them. They aren't anything special but if you're adding to your range and wear it once a week or so you'd get at least 2 years out of them.

I purchased some because the deals lately have been lacklustre which is fair enough in the current climate.

The relaxed fit are loose so if you like them to fit tightly then I suggest the Euro and slim fit.

The ties are good quality and for the price recommend buying some.

With my VH, once a week barely lasted six months

CT still going strong after 18 months

Any clues as to why with people not buying as many shirts, having to work from home, shirt sales being lower, why haven't we had the CT 3 for $33 delivered offers?

I can't get CT shirts in my size combo but here's another reason why I like the VH shirts - they have a pocket at no extra charge.

    • Thanks. I just noticed. 11 bucks for a chest pocket is a bit steep

  • For the uninitiated, what does CT stand for?

  • My comment above should have read 3 for $99 delivered
There has been a recent deal which was 3 for $99 plus delivery
