Increase your budget a little and get a second hand Herman Miller Mirra. So much better than anything under $200 new and will still last longer too.

    • I got a second hand Mirra.. The foam cushion under the net has broken into two pieces and the seat netting is possibly a bit saggy? It's not that comfortable and I'm wondering if getting it fixed up would actually help much.. Also i thought you could just buy parts for these things, parts dont seem very available to the public

      • Are you sure it's a Mirra? They don't have a foam cushion.

        • yeah under the netting at the front where your legs go there is this foam stuff and hard plastic underneath. So i wonder if I need new foam stuff or the net should not be saggy enough to touch the foam? or combo of both

    • Herman miller - overrated and overpriced.

  • Gumtree have a few ergonomic chairs for that price level but don't expect too much for your $200 budget.

    • where can I try one?

      • Not sure, a colleague of mine bougth from them and I tried his before buying one from there. Happy with it so far!

What sort of features were u looking for? Things like: high or mid back? a combination of mesh and cushion? Adjustability? Arm rests?

If you are a bit taller (Say 178cm+) the IKEA Markus or Jarvfjallet is a fairly comfy high backed office chair for around $200-229 without the crummy arm rests. I'm about 173cm, but the headrest was a bit too high for me (shame it was not adjustable) but it was fairly comfy.

I got an Ikea Jarvfjallet and am happy with the purchase. Comfortable chair and should be great for the hot summer coming thanks to the back mesh
