    • Updated URL to reflect Amazon AU as the seller.

      • Ah yep, cheers. $419 delivery from the UK

  • Pulled the trigger on the Venu for $505, wanted a better screen

    • where did u get it for this price?

      • It was on Amazon, not sure what happened to the link, but it was the blue granite silver option.

        • Hi do you know if the garmin pay works here in Australia? On their official website it states that not all countries are covered?

          • @Boxcuttahz: I think the big banks support it, ANZ, CommBank etc. I don't have a Garmin watch yet, bought one today, hopefully comes soon!

            Eg. https://mobilepayments.anz.com/garmin-pay/?cid=ps:tr:2&gclsr…

            • @ekto: Ok thank you, not sure if I should purchase one for my dad for Xmas as he really wants to use it for that quick payment thing above all else.

              • @Boxcuttahz: There are two requirements for it to work:

                1) Country has to have pay-wave (check)

                2) The bank that issues the credit card has to support Garmin pay.

I use Garmin Pay here all the time (one of the best features of the watch, IMO, is not having to have a wallet or phone on me if I want to grab a bite or coffee at the surf shop after going for a swim). I only use my US credit-cards on it, however (better points), so no experience with Australian banks. No doubt American Express would work - unsure of the other big Australian banks.

I've got a Vivoactive 4, which was given to me for free by Garmin after my Vivomusic 3 crapped out about a year and a half after owning it.

Venu screen looks nice, but I like the larger bezel of the Vivoactive 4 and better battery life. At $307.86 below, it's a steal and I wouldn't pay a 40% premium for the Venu (just bought a Vivoactive 4s for the wife - smaller bezel is preferred by her).

                • @Valjew: Thanks valjew great feedback, I was recommended to look into fitbit so I might research that maybe it's a better unit for what I need. I was going to buy an apple watch for dad but I just don't want to be restricted incase he switches to an Android phone that's all

  • slane cycles (when you change to AUD and australia location has it cheaper)

    Vivosmart 4 $378.05 + 18.90 delivery = 396.95)
    https://www.slanecycles.com/garmin-vivoactive-4-shadow-grey-…

    Venu is $425.31 + delivery

edit: but as per original post for comparison tranparency, this is not AU stock…

  • +1

would it be troublesome with warranty claim if purchase from UK Amazon ?

    • Cashrewards also giving 7.5% back on watches. I wonder if it applies here?
