    Easier to use jumper leads to the new battery? If you are fast you could use this, it doesn't stay on for that long

  Each time I have bought one of these GOOLOO devices it's died (wont stay charged even with no use or just wont charge at all) ~13 months from purchase. Am I just unlucky or is there something I'm doing wrong? :S

      Basically it's. Charge it as recommended check to see if it's gone flat after a few months of no use. Ok gone to <50% re charged to a bit more ~90% not needed due to it only needing to be used in emergencies it so left it it's bag again. Repeat until ~13 months try and check ok flat charge it nothing try a different charger nope doesn't charge anymore.

      Never been stored in a car. As it was bought for motorcycle use.
      Garage is shaded for most of the day. Also one never left the lounge room. So I dunno these things just seem to hate me lol.

    Storing it in your hot car will kill lithium batteries. Li-ion is rated for up to 45c, anything over will shorten the life. Cars can get really hot, 60+c in Australian summers, which is why supercapacitor dashcams are very popular here instead of battery dashcams.
