DODGY SHOPPING WEBSITE - SCOOPON

I bought the below and placed an order as per the link provided:

BEST SELLER! Just $29 for THREE Incredible ‘Smooth Slim’ Wireless…

http://www.scoopon.com.au/deals/5651/just-29-for-three-incre…

I have not received an order number.

How am I meant to follow up?

I have emailed both of theirs emails. I have contacted Scoopon. I have heard from neither.

Any pointers?

  • Have you logged into your scoopon account?

The number is usually in there under 'my stuff'

  • I had the same problem when I made a purchase like this. I ordered two things as per the website that a group bargain site provided using my deal voucher, and was never given an order number, sent a confirmation, nor was I able to track it. I took a screen shot of the confirmation page just in case, but luckily my order arrived as I ordered and on time so there was no need to stress.
I think you should wait to see if it arrives or if you hear from anybody and if not, contact them again. Just make sure you contact them & hear back before the expiry date of the voucher in case they pull the "It's expired, too bad" line..
    :)

  • I bought a similar deal but on living social and placed my online order the next day when I got my coupon and I received an order # . 3 weeks passed and nothing, so I emailed them and they told me that it would take 7-8 weeks to get my order. By week 5 and still nothing, I emailed again, only to be told that it's been sent and I should receive it in 7-10. Business days, so I'm waiting for another week before I lodge a complaint.

What really worries me is that these companies just have an email address as a contact # and a PO box.

Not much help but can u try and place another order and see if you'll get an order #?

  • Thanks guy. I have placed another order, again, no order number. THese guys: import concierge is so bloody dodgy. THey dun have an address or a phone.

Unfortunately Scoopon, and all of those types organisations are able to run riot and not adhere to some sort of consumer policy. For everyone who gets a bargain and is happy there are at least twice as many who were jupped. Thongs only available in strange colours, pillows that retails for $109 and when you get them they are chinese crap and meal deals that you find the restaurant is booked out or you are seated in the doorway!

My advice is to get a telephone number and ring them. I am sure with google and a bit of investigation you will be able to get the phone number. Good luck

      Hey Parko

I totally agree with your comments. As per below [Ref: Kasumi168] I already suspect these bras to be some dodgy Chinese overrated brand. I really shouldn't be fooled by these voucher places anymore.

I have looked everywhere on the internet [and I am pretty pro at digging things] but the numbers found are all, leave a message or some stupid self help kinda line.

I am sorry to hear of your experience w these voucher sites too Parko. The worst one I have undergone was probably Yuki from Cudo. The place was serving insane "food" —> http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/71/1580326/restaurant/Melbourne/…

Anyway, this is the absolute last time I am getting something from these "deals" unless its a $1 one or something.

I received my order yestereday, and while they are very comfy, i was surprised they came from Hong Kong (i assumed stock was located in Australia) and definitely not worth the $280 value they claim to be.

I Would say they are the same as the ones on ebay that purport to be Ahh Bra and Genie Bra equivalents

OP - can you do a charge back? I'm surprised Scoopon has not responded in this thread

    • Thanks, least I know someone out there has received something!! I really appreciate your response.

Below is a snapshot of what I got from Scoopon:

The same thing happened with me. I bought canvas prints for a good price, and while the quality was reasonable, the only reason I purchased was because I thought I would be buying from inside Australia with quality materials and local business.
And if I wanted to purchase from China I could have done so for cheaper than this so called "deal".

But like I said the quality and price were OK so I never complained but I was dissappointed that it claimed to be an Australian company & printed in Australia, when in fact they were not.
I did try emailing quering this but never got a response.

cateyneow, I am sorry to hear how you are still having troubles. My wife recently had a problem and she managed to ring someone. I am not sure if it was Scoopon but I will ask her tonight and let you know.

She found a website (shown below) that deals with online shopping experiences and left a post there about Scoopon. Maybe one of their members has had a similar experience and had luck in contacting them. It might be worthwhile posting a message.

I just hope other members are careful when dealing with these supposedly great deal websites but unfortunately there is a sucker born everyday.

  • Thank you my love, I received this from Scoopon.

I really don't know if the refund will appear in my a/c but given there is an email trail, I hope this serves as something legally binding.

I am appalled to hear these bras are from China! I agree w everyone out here that we don't need to go on bloody voucher deal websites to get something non Australian!

THanks for everyone's help and comments. I truly appreciate your responses.

When I get the refund, I will announce it here.

PS. I am glad Scoopon is at least giving me a refund! [or even responded!!]

    • YAY! Fingers crossed you'll see that refund :)

If you still want the bras, buy them from ebay (and i've seen the actual Ahh bra's at Big W for $29.99 each)

  • Hi cateyneow
Did you receive your refund from Scoopon? I have experienced the exact same situation with these so called wireless bras.
I have emailed this import concierge address several times with no response.
I emailed Scoopon and they replied with the same response to you.
I think I'll ask for a refund too, it's been ages since I ordered them.
