  • Much prefer simple over flavour….

    • I haven’t looked at Flavour but Simple is a great book. We had a few people who were coming over for dinner and I made up a bunch of salads, from Simple, and went to the local Kebab place for some meat. It made a great buffet.

    • I've also got Simple, also agree that it's a great cookbook. I saw Otto when he did a talk at Brisbane Powerhouse last year, he was quite an engaging person.

    • While I agree, if you're looking for a decent vegan cookbook, this is pretty top notch. That said, there's plenty of vegan options in Simple anyway.

Simple is definitely the better overall pick. If you have a newly vegan friend, or one just trying to eat more sustainably, this is a great option. I'm buying it as a gift option, and if I can't think of someone good, I'll happily keep it.

  • I'm seeing $28.71 for SIMPLE?

    Nevermind discount applied at checkout

    • That's correct, but then 10% off is applied at the checkout bringing it down to $25.84.

  • Are these ones any good for actual simple recipes? Or do you end up with really complex recipes with niche ingredients? Not looking for the latter. Have plenty of those cookbooks collecting dust

    • Simple is pretty straightforward. You need a few “specialist” ingredients but nothing too onerous.
