Pressure Washer Help

hey guys, I got a pressure washer recently from bunnings, still in box unopened, thinking of swapping it as I don't need all the extra accessories.

This is what I've got

Thinking to swap for this one

https://www.bunnings.com.au/ryobi-2400w-2500psi-pressure-was…

The Ryobi has better PSI, watts and more L per min. Is there anything I'm missing or should the Ryobi be better?

Thanks

for the difference in price, the accessories are pretty handy for the Karcher.

  • If you don't need the extras definitely go the higher psi.

The extra litres per minute is more important than psi

      • Disagree, depends on use.

  • I would go the ryobi over the karcher and advise my customers the same. (Bunnings team member)

I have used, assembled and sold pressure washers for the last 30+ years.
The most important factor in choosing the right machine is being able to match the specifications of the machine to the tasks that you have planned for it.
On cheap machines like the ones you are looking at, the biggest killer is overusing.
For example, a high pressure machine with low water flow is painfully slow at cleaning concrete, pavers, walls, etc. The water jet blasts cr@p everywhere, leaving you with a long clean up, as opposed to a machine with a healthy flow which flushes the removed dirt off the surface.
The extended usage causes damaging heat build up in the pump and motor and unnecessary wear on the cheap plastic hoses and fittings.
