Honda CRV Air Pollen Filter Sydney

I send my Honda CRV 2011 to one of the local mechanic for full car services last week. Few hours later, I received called from mechanic told me when they checking air filter and found the car air pollen filter is missing! Before this this mechanic, my car is always serviced by Honda services central. I rang Honda and been told by they dont know but can install for me for $55.

I so piss off and dont know whats going on. Anyway, I find out from Youtube, the Air Pollen filter is very easy to install and I can do it by myself. I just wondering where can I buy and how much is this filter? I cant find it on the Supercheap Auto website and Repco store.

Thank you.

Maybe it wasn't a spec level that even had the pollen filter from factory?

    • We got it before from the beginning.

The "before from the beginning" amused me on a slow morning.

How you can do something before it all began leads to all sorts of philosophical discussions :-)

Air Pollen is optional. You can get one on Amazon for about $25 or there about. In saying that I do have Prime. Look for EPAUTO CP134.

    Honda sell them

It's definitely not worth 55 bucks.

I dont have a CRV, but I know that in most cars, its behind the glove box, and its flippin easy to replace. Don't pay for installation.

Looks like it uses the same filter as the Accord Euro, you can fit yourself, near glovebox.

Look at "Cabin" column on this page

    Sample instructions:

You can buy the filters from Repco or Supercheap or your local parts shop
    eg: https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/search?q=rca108&lang=en_AU
    eg: https://www.repco.com.au/en/search/?text=rca108

Don't stress, and wear clean underwear at all times.

You managed to find a clip on YouTube, but can’t find on searching online?

It’s not unusual for vehicle specific parts to be available, but missing from the website. It may need to be ordered in, perhaps you aren’t using the exact search term. Supercheap auto are more an accessory retailer than a parts supplier. My experience is Repco’s website leaves a lot to be desired, but if you ring them they can probably get one.

I suspect the OP searched for "air filter" instead of "cabin filter"

      • Yes air filter.

Rolan have Ryco filters, often on 20% sale on their ebay store

This is pretty common as the cabin air pollen filter is not fitted as standard in Honda (don't know why). That was also the case when I bought a 2004 CRV many years ago. It was actually one of the things I checked and put in myself.

If you trust your local mechanic, then just get them to install it for you, otherwise it's pretty easy to buy and install.

Below are some examples from sparesbox, but there are so many after market brands for these:

  • Thank you all for the suggestions.
