    $10-$30 is regular price for thin crap. I wouldn't touch any of these if I had an option. Certainly not without going in and looking and touching in person.

    One giveaway is the brand. Austen. Trying to confuse people who may think it's Austin, which is a more expensive brand. That's wish.com level trickery..

        @bargaino: There's stuff you can test when you buy and stuff you can't. For example you won't know if that cutlery discolours with use. I'm not saying that brand names are the best or only way to work out if something is likely to be garbage, but if a brand has built a good reputation I get why people flock to it. My experience in practical terms is that brand loyalty is for suckers as they always eventually cut corners.

        @Kas: Oh I see it's me that can't understand the difference between how many pieces, because I presented a selection of different crappy sets to compare against. I suppose you want me to sort them by the shape of the handle and only include comparably shaped ones too? Seriously dude, get a grip. My point was that shitty cutlery play sets that you can bend if you look at too hard aren't rare. And that paying $29 doesn't guarantee quality. Clearly YOU didn't grasp that point.

I picked up a set today and can confirm they're pretty flimsy. The large spoon wouldn't survive a round with an ice cream punnet without getting bent out of shape. The fork is the same. Best to use for light duty tasks only and not T-bone steaks!
