Worth it's weight in gold. Ordered

    • +7

16 oz of gold is worth $42,000.

      Certified deal.

  • Bought two even though I have a similar Meguirs product lol

    • Ceramic is the top range for Turtle Wax.

      • Which of the 2 is better?

        • +1

3-in-1 seems to be for spot and washless cleaning. so go with ceramic or seal n shine. I bought both seal and shine and ceramic spray since it's only a few dollars different, so worth trying out. after skimming through some youtube reviews, both seem to be about the same.

          • @neu11: so are you supposed to wax before using ceramic spray?

            • @hongerwonger: ¯_(ツ)_/¯ but generally i tend to wax (if i wax at all) before spraying the whatever coating on.

truth be told. I don't really notice the difference after waxing so sometimes if i wax, i just leave it at that.

            • +3

@hongerwonger: Bruh, attention, ceramic product usually NOT used with wax. If you use one, do not use another.

    • thats an insane price

    • Nice! I've previously used the local version of the Seal N Shine and it's a pretty decent product for the sale price at Repco/Supercheap… Was going to grab a couple of the US versions, until you're post…

I went for the Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating-16 Fl Oz at $23.30!

Currently on sale at Supercheap for $32.90 (RRP $47.00), bigger discount compared to Seal N Shine and looks to be more superior product than the Seal N Shine!

      • Bought the $23.30 one. I normally use the Autoglym high definition with polish and clay bar. Spent full day doing that. Hopefully with this Turtle Wax, save my energy and time with better result.

    • Project farm tested ceramic sprays and tw hybrid came out on top so can’t be bad

  • Ordered. Will return the one I got from Autobarn. Pretty sure the US ice version is better?

    • ICE is just the local branding for the US market, apparently the one we get here is the same thing. BUT this is the new and improved formula, which is not on shelves in AU yet. So its a great deal.

      • Yeah was a little confused due to the different part numbers for US vs AU. Besides the Ice branding on the US one, it looks exactly like the AU one.

      • The TW ICE SnS USA and TW SnS AU products are identical.

If you're talking about TW ceramic products they are indeed available locally, although not at that price. Not much difference in "quality" (shine, water rejection, resistance to contaminants etc) between the two TW products according to some youtube tests.

The ceramic price diff (saving) is significant but I'm not sure why people who have ready access to local sellers (not everyone does) prefer to give their money to Amazon and USA when TW SnS can be bought locally for not much more when on special.

        • +1

Ahhh new formula we don't have here yet and ahhhh because its cheaper…. Duh

          • -1

@DoesntEvenMatter: Humour me, I'm a bit slow. New formula for what? gobsmax was discussing TW SnS and you suggested "this" was a new formula product, presumably referring to the ICE Amazon product. There is no new formula afaik but if you have information no-one else on the internet seems to know about feel free to spill the beans.

Ceramic is their new product range - available here as I said and has been tested and compared by detailers on youtube in case you're interested.

My comment re saving a few pennies seems to have eluded you. Think jobs, economy, pandemic, local V OS spending - when the saving is sfa. Ymmv - convenience, actual access to Au stores and freight costs are genuine enough reasons.

            • @[Deactivated]: Yes there is a new formula. Look at the bottle image on Amazon, yellow text says new formula. Not available locally yet, so this is an excellent deal based on price and the fact it is the improved formula.

              • -2

@nubzy: Thanks, missed that. The only change is the inclusion of UV "blockers/inhibitors". In practice that likely makes little if any difference. Good sealants made with polymers like ceramics, already block UV via deflection and most clearcoats will have UV protection. Good marketing gimmick though.

            • @[Deactivated]: Since you admitted you're slow I won't dig too deep. But yes it's a new formula *that anyone on the Internet can see but your too clueless in your own bs of it all and it's not available here, is it cheaper? Yes…. Does it help out economy well that's subjective, it still needs to be delivered to me so it is. What difference will it make buying it locally when that store might not even be locally owned. Buying exclusively local won't do shit and won't ever happen. Either way a purchase from overseas still had work for local people.

              • @DoesntEvenMatter: Purchasing locally has a much bigger trickle down/multiplier effect on the economy than helping to keep transport drivers afloat, whether a company is owned here or OS. Buying exclusively local would make a big difference however it also promotes corporate laziness and price gouging, hence my comment about significant price differences. As a result of C19 many Australians are finally recognising the importance of local industry and business, which will be a good thing - assuming we don't slip back into our wgaf and self-interest slumber as soon as it's over.

                • @[Deactivated]: Keep believing that. Covid won't change anything

                  • @DoesntEvenMatter: Covid-19 already has changed many things, not all negatively. Something had to wake complacent Australians up and this pandemic has done that, at least in the short term. Personally a few cents in my pocket is no match for many dollars going into the Au economy, but I appreciate plenty of others don't give a fig either way.

  • Great, must have just come back in stock. Ordered.

    Delivery kills the deal???

How does this compare to Meguiar's ultimate quik wax?

  • +2

What is this, and why did I just buy it? =/

    • +3

This is an advanced car wax product, it is not just a wax but wax with sealant. This one lasts longer than traditional wax product and in summer, usually one time per 3 month is enough.

      • -1

        wax is not a sealant.
Wax is natural, sealant is synthetic

        • +4

Plz read the description on the product, it is synthetic sealant infused with carnauba wax. Mixture.

          • -8

@Liquid Pro: Indeed you are correct, it is a sealant infused with wax, but it is not a wax with sealant.

        • First statement is correct @specks, in the new vernacular. The inclusion of carnauba wax in TX SnS might help shine (I like the product for all its properties) but in a lengthy interview about the new kid on the block - graphene - one chemist reckons adding natural products lessens durability (because they break down quicker). Makes sense, just means you have to re-apply more often. That depends on many things - how polluted and dirty your environment is, whether your vehicle is garaged etc. Wouldn't be stressing about it. Most of the products which get posted here are very good.

    • Also works great for adding gloss and protection to marble and granite bench tops.

  • Using this from a previous sale…great results. Make sure you have a good quality fibrecloth.

Ordered one too many I think ;)

  • How many times will one bottle do the average size car?

    • Should last a while… apparently only 2 sprays at most per panel.

    • +2

One layer application only - probably about 4-5

  • +2

Delivery is not coming up as free for me (prime member)

    • Same here also a prime member no free delivery?

    • +1

Free International Expedited Delivery for Prime members ended at midnight

  • +1

no shipping fee if > $49

  • Bought some at 12:45am AEST. Got Free International Expedited Delivery for Prime Trial. Totally worth it.

  • This stuff is way better than Meguiar's ceramic wax according to multiple YouTube videos.

  • If your car is already ceramic coated is there any point in using this?

    • Proper maintenance of a ceramic coated car does include using a top coat like this sealant or similar every 3-6 months depending on conditions.

    • not imo.

you spent all that time and effort to get a ceramic coating on (which is superior to this) so why would you cover it up unless it was showing signs of wearing away?

  • Still same price with stock?

    • Yes, just free shipping without min spend has expired

  • +2

Is this OK for right hand drive vehicles seeing it's from the US??

Sorry if that sounded too jv-ish ;)

    • Are you left or right handed? Ambidextrous - should be fine.

  • Ordered this and the ceramic range they had. All have arrived.
