@mini2: You can buy David Jones gift cards online (and not through a third-party processor).
Or buy random stuff online, then ask to refund to gift card (not sure if Myer will let you pick which type of gift card you want a refund to).

Lame. Usually they hype it in advance which allows me to plan ahead. Not a fan of this marketing strategy of 'we'll tell you on the day'. Worried that means it will be rubbish.
