      Macquarie Bank and Suncorp both currently have them for 4% off.
      I wonder if that'll last.

      I thought this was inevitable. Although very few people use egift cards, no doubt the numbers were growing and Woolworths thinks customers will shop there anyway, so why give a 5% discount?

      For me, this means I will no longer favour Woolworths group stores.

      Suncorp Rewards is droppring to 3% from 10am 19th October 2020
      Currently 4%

      Nothing about being removed but suspect thats coming also.

      Yeah I saw that Coles gift cards are only 3% on Suncorp Benefits. I'm guessing they're all phasing out? Sucks

        There is a popup on Suncorp rewards saying Woolworths group will only be 3% from 19 October.

    Not good news. I use shopback to get mine, and they use the same portal. Wonder if it's just Cashrewards getting out of it, or woolworths winding it back. Only real reason why I use these sites.

      It's definitely the number 1 reason I use these sites.

        Cheers, missed that bit. Now it’ll be a matter of estimating the value to buy using the offset vs mortgage interest over the same period and find the sweet spot.

        I spoke to entertainment book in yesterday and asking whether they will reduce the discount for Wish GC.
        The answer from the representative was they are not aware of any discount drop.

          Considering we pay for the EB it would make sense that we still get to have the discount.

    Just checked Suncorp rewards and they have this message:

    "Effective 10am (AEST) Monday 19 October 2020, the Woolworths Group will reduce their eGift Card discounts. Woolworths and Caltex Woolworths eGift Cards will be reduced to 3% discount."

          I've logged into Suncorp rewards today after the specified time and Big W and Dan Murphy's are still 5%. It appears that just the Woolworths and Woolworths Caltex gift cards have dropped to 3%.

            @Akya: They changed this on the same day when they dropped the discount from 5% to 3% for wish cards.

    with cash earning measly 1.5% in savings account (no mortgage), stocking up on 5% discounted card makes sense

    Woolies would want to lift their rewards bonus points offers then because fly buys bonus point offers are a lot more lucrative normally than woolies, but woolies had the 5% off which helped close that gap.

    Let's see the glass as half full. They are phasing the 5% off the e-gift cards to surprise us in time for Christmas with a 10% discount. Ha!

    Lucky my Woolies has an Aldi next door. They will get more of my business

    I stack the 5% gift card with the 10% off one shop a month with my Woolworths car insurance.
    Since yesterday Big W website has been down for taking gift cards as payment. You reckon it is a coincidence?

      If that the case use the Kmart model of pay for it return it and pay with gift cards after the return .
      Pluck them !
      Only big problem is you can join the no return list normally reserved for scammers : (
      So I guess for them a possibility is everyone a scammer trying to save 5% using a gift card lol .

    I just checked the AANT road side assistance and the 5% is still running. Will see for how long.
