It’ll be a foam piece of junk.

I predict 12 months before you throw it into council cleanup. Buy something that is made to last - it’s better for the environment compared to throwing out multiple other sofas.

Hopefully we will get retail back soon. DFO Docklands, upstairs, has some scratch and dent furniture places including one that does, mainly, sofas. There is also a Freedom furniture place up there. There are, also, other outlet places dotted more around Melbourne’s outskirts and most IKEA places have scratch and dent areas.

We got one like this, in a less pleasant orange and pale lemon colour for, roughly, the price you have in the Ikea scratch and dent areas

I would wait until you can sit on the couch, that one doesn’t look very comfortable. You do need to look at how well they are made.

  • Wouldn't buy a sofa without trying it first, definitely go to bricks and mortar stores to try them out. This one would probably be either a really firm/really soft piece of SH!T

  • I can almost guarantee, those legs will be bolted on with one small screw, directly onto the frame.

    • Bolted on with a bolt
      Screwed on with a screw

    • yeah.. imagine having sex on that thing!

  • Go in the store much better so you can try it out and see if you like it or not, where as for online you don't know what you will get you probably get something that doesn't look like the photo.

  • I bought furniture from mydeal and it was absolute trash.
No exaggeration literally the worst online purchase I've ever made.
