    Java Minecraft was more flexible last I checked.

    I bought and installed Minecraft Java on Windows 10 for the kiddos a month ago. Cost $35 and runs fine.

    I don't think Minecraft has ever really gone on sale since it was in Beta.

    Grey sellers occasionally have it for sale (if you look through previous OzB deals) but it looks like currently it's $30~ across the board.

    I recall the windows10 app version (metro app) being only a couple of dollars last year. The Java version stays a pretty contant price. If you just want to play it then I don't know that there's a difference.

    edit: doesn't seem like the Store version is any cheaper now.
