Looks to me like its a product of Vietnam… unless that's part of China now.

    • +2

it's premium quality, not high quality.
      says there on the box.

    They overestimated the pandemic.

    • -1

no way jose. this will stay for a while.
they underestimated how much floor space masks take up, and how little people actually care about putting on a mask.

    • more like the underestimated the speed of asias ability to saturate the market with basic ppe like this.

  • +9

It would take me 6.85 years wearing one every day to get through them Ha ha

    • Just you? I reckon if I wore one a day they would last me about the same time

      • +1

Yep just me. I wear them on my arse to filter farts.

        • +1

In that case worth every scent

  • +1

Jeez how much do you have, that's needed to be cleared for furniture stock space

    • +3

      Just calculated, 1.25 million masks.
Hoarders just got one upped lol.

  • Jeez 2500pcs

So $10 a box if you buy 50 boxes?

There have been better or similar priced deals here for one box delivered.

  • +9

    How is this a bargain?

  • +18

Just goes to show how many companies got on the bandwagon to try make a profit out of the covid

  • Equivalent to $10/box of 50
But you need a shed to store them. And a truck for delivery..

    • or $0.20 per mask. But will take a long time to use up if your in lockdown or don't go out every day.

  • +8

Trying to free up $250k in cash and a lot of space I take it.

Do yourself a favour and just start giving 'em away with every piece of furniture you sell OP.
Glad I managed to talk my partners out of trying to salvage some profit from hype…

    I bought 500 delivered for $10 2 days ago?

I'll buy 2500 for 50 if you just wanna move em šŸ¤£

  • yeah for $50 instead of $500 and you have a deal.

  • +2

Throw in a lounge chair and you have a deal.

  • +2
  • Why not sell them in boxes of 50? What's the purpose of giving someone a minimum order of 50 boxes of 50 when everyone is currently trying to get rid of their excess stock?

  • +8

With this much stock its clear you were trying to take advantage and profit off the pandemic, but unfortunately for you supply has gone up and demand has lowered significantly.

All these mask sales show a problem with the free market. So much waste, so much of a toll on the natural environment, because people are profit seeking before anything else. I'm not here to say regulated or controlled markets are better - they have their own issues too - but the neolib disciples treat the free market like it's some holy concept when in fact it can be harmful in so many ways, and right now, not just with masks but with so much else, is quite quickly destroying the earth.

  • TGA approval is a misleading expression.

I just found out the microbiological test results provided by the manufacturer. The Bacterial and virus filtration efficiency BFE is actually over 98% (i.e equivalent to ASTM Level 2) that's most commonly used in hospitals and/or dental practices. Please check it out. Thanks.

    • +1

You can't really call it level 2 since its fluid resistance needs to be at least 120 mmHG otherwise it's not level 2. e.g. You can have BFE of 99% with fluid resistance only 80mmHG, then it's still level 1.
