They make a clash sound when hit together and can take small hits.

i have one and my kids love it. also Darth Vadar. i got mine for $220 3yrs ago. if you can get them for $99 don't hesitate, just get it.but you cant use it like a steal rod, like INDYJNR said ##small hits##. you can up grade them to full battle one for another $50-$100. but you do that when you destroy the tube and need a new one like my friend.

Yep they are higher end metal replicas covered in chrome, so more for adults then kids or big kids ;)
