Virgin is celebrating with a 'Cheers to 20 years' sale, and they're in business AND economy, right through summer (25 November to 27 March).

Steps to finding the cheapest flight:

Visit the Virgin deal page. Note the route and dates you want. Check the price too.

Then check the price on Beat That Flight, as for pretty much every date we've checked, it's finding cheaper prices.

Examples:

There are so many routes and dates that I'll keep searching for cheaper dates, and update here, but outside of the Christmas period there seems to be plenty available to almost anywhere that Virgin flies.

I'm more a crackers and dip guy personally.

      I think they're cutting that

They can't be making money at these prices unless the pilots and air stewardesses are robots or autonomous

    Grabbed Melbourne to Sydney flights.

Will see if my optimism pays off.

    • I tried to do the same but they all came up as AVV for me? Are you flying out of Ava or Tulla?

      • Both ways say MEL

We got business upgrade on the way back for the 3k points. With a little one extra space on evening flight is worth it.

Who knows what the points will be worth in the end.

    $281 for a 35-minute flight! Seriously?

    • But the warm air-nema is to die for

    • well the official flight time is 1 hour, but presume that's taxiing time too :D

Yeah of all the routes to highlight, OP chose the weirdest one.

Honestly, it's 3 hours by car or 4 hr train trip from Central and even without concessions or a travel pass - it's $34 economy and $47 first class.
For me and I'd imagine many others, it's not worth the hassle of going to an airport for such a short distance and duration.

    "Cheers to 20 years?"

    "Faaark! We're really stuck!"

  • That's easily the funniest offer I've seen this year….truly.
