  • Cheapest by about $20 on staticice and shipping cost is good to. Thumbs up!

  • I can see this model as cheap as $179 on Static Ice, with most retailers under $200… so $300 doesn't seem that great to me.

    • No wait, $179.00 is the GGC- (BD read-only) model. This offer is for the GGW- (BD read/write) model. My bad! :)

  • No commercial spammer please!! prices are just on par with other internet shops, i mean like M5Y been listing this model at cheaper price forever.

    • No commercial spammer please!!

Sorry but OzBargain actually welcome merchants to post their specials here because it is better for us to know that they are representatives, than having them posting behind nicknames pretending to be customers.

i mean like M5Y been listing this model at cheaper price forever.

It took me awhile to actually find out from MSY's strongly not recommended price listing page what their pricing is — the Readable Version does not work because MSY does not bother to put up the correct price.

However it will be more helpful to actually quote MSY's price if you want to post a negative. Moreover, a lot of people are not willing to buy from MSY for numerous reasons (no delivery, bad service, etc). Please be considerate when you cast your negative votes.

      • Thank you Scotty, but I don't mean to be rude to the merchants, nor I am here to promote another business, hence disguising MSY as M5Y. It is very easy to bookmark their price list PDF page and I findd their listed prices are always honest to the day. I bought numerous products from them and find them ok, if price/bargain is the concern not the service.

I just thought the community are here for true bargains, not pushy sales. Sorry if I offended some audiences so my apology on this. MSY if you don't mind them is selling this burner for $295 (long queue at the counter and pickup only).

  • so this is a bluray burner too?

    • Yes it is. Write speeds are BD-R: 6x Max, BD-R (DL): 4x Max, BD-RE: 2x Max, BD-RE (DL): 2x Max.

  • ahh.. not a good deal just because the nature of Bluray itself :)

How much for the Blu-Ray blanks?

    Let me tell you..

25GB blank starts from $30 up and the 50GB starts with $80 up.

that's an exorbitant price to pay for a data backup.

even $99 can get you 750gb sata drives

personally, I will wait until it comes down much much lower than that.
