Cheapest 4K, HDR Monitor for PS5?

I prefer gaming at a desk and being closer to the screen when console gaming.

Monitors seem more affordable than giant TV's.

Where can I get the best value, cheapest 4K, HDR monitor for my PS5?

  • Food for thought:

The most notable thing from that second link is this: "…there currently aren’t any monitors with HDMI 2.1, so the most you’re going to be able to get is 4K/60FPS (or 1080p/1440p 120FPS)."

If you're not fussed about the real advantage of these consoles (120Hz VRR via HDMI 2.1) then look at those suggested in the article, or any cheap 4k monitor should be fine.

    Don't bother with HDR

if you can do what I did and find a cheap 40inch 4k 60 hz Korean monitor I say try that

might be hard to get or find but the price to value ratio is amazing

    paid $420 AUD all up for mine $50 AUD was for postage ($370 + $50 = $420)

not sure if HDR but you don't need it imho like others have said

HDR for monitors typically isn't as great as it for TVs, most lack Dolby Vision, for example.

No such thing as an affordable 4k, let alone HDR (see real HDR) monitor.

  • Sony x9000h 55inch monitor for $1500.

    4K
    HDR
    HDMI 2.1
    VRR
    120HZ/4K
    Built-in speakers
    Local Dimming

Good value for an all rounder.

  • Best 2k monitor I could find to pair up with my PS5 was Gigabyte g27q 144hz

  • Is it worth getting a 4K monitor with IPS?

  • Can you plug external speakers into a monitor that only has a headphones out sound connection ?

What's the best way to get sound out of a monitor when gaming on a console?
