Using JB Hi-Fi egift cards online - What is spend limit & Maximum number of gift cards?

When purchasing online from JB HiFi using a JB egift card, is there a limit on how much you can spend? And how many gift cards can you use in one purchase?

Example, can I combine a $500 egift card with a $300 egift card to buy a $799 item?

Been searching around and can't seem to find a straight answer to this, and even JB's T&Cs don't specify. Maybe someone here knows.

    Up to 5 from memory

    You can also combine gift cards to buy gift cards - ie combine 5x $100 egift cards to purchase a $500 egift card

    You may be able to get discounted JB and other gift cards from various platforms. Ozbargain has a dedicated page with more info.

      Been asked time and time again

      5 cards, but can combine smaller denominations to buy larger egift cards

      TCN set a limit recently, and can only be used in-store not online, and can't be used to buy standard jb gift cards

        Apologies, Im a little confused.

        I reading a lot of contradicting information. Many other threads out there saying people have used up to $2000 in gift cards for purchases?

        Im looking to make a large purchase soon, I dont want to get caught out.

        Could you please explain the "5 cards, but can combine smaller denominations to buy larger egift cards" please?

    Is it still a maximum of 5 gift cards?
    I attempted to combine them just now and the order got cancelled. Upon reading the T&C's, it now states you can't purchase gift cards with gift cards but I don't see any mention of a maximum number.

      The same thing happened to me, I recently tried to combine smaller denominations into $500 gift cards and my order was also cancelled. I'm not sure if there is a limit on jbhifi.com.au but I just placed an order online and used 10 gift cards with no problem. Hope that helps.

        Seems like they removed the 5 card limit when they stopped being able to purchase larger ones. Which works out better really as you're not capped at $2.5k with gift cards

    Looks like the online limit is not 5. Was able to use 11 today online.
