WAVLINK Wi-Fi Access Point - Any Good?

Hey guys,

I'm looking for a WiFi router to be used as an additional access point. I want something fairly cheap but won't be too shitty.

Is something like this pretty decent? Not too much reviews, but its all pretty positive. I don't know too much about networking.

I have a few smart device and will be adding more. I want to be running everything on the 5GHz band so it doesn't interfere with my bluetooth speakers/keyboard and my 2.4ghz mouse.

My current router is crapping out, the 5GHz signal is very shoddy and often disconnect for whatever reason.

I’d spend more and get a known reliable model, eg Netgear or Asus. What’s your budget? Life is too short for patchy WiFi so you’re better off getting a decent unit.

    • Thanks for responding, haha you're right life is too short for spotty wifi. I currently use the DLink Dir 868 L which I thought was supposed to be decent but has the shoddiest 5Ghz band ever.. it disconnect so often, I dont know why.

I don't need something that has super range, only need it for a certain room of the house. Wouldn't mind spending more but would prefer to keep it under $200 at most.
