Dreame D9 & Roborock S5 MAX for Mopping

I'm looking to upgrade my first generation Xiaomi robot vacuum with either Dreame D9 or Roborock S5 MAX mainly for the mopping function.

Could I please ask those who have either of those vacuums to comment on how good/bad they mop? Is the mopping function on those just a gimmick or it is actually useful? I'm wondering if they remove stains from tiles and whether they leave water streaks.

Thanks a lot.

The mopping function on Dreame D9 is worth the upgrade.

Don't bother upgrading to Dreame D9 for the mopping function.

I literally received our S5 Max on Thursday this week. I set it up to clean and mop our wooden floors last night (did 3 runs). I am so impressed! Woke to clean floors with no streaks this morning. Then set it to do our bathrooms and laundry (our dog sleeps in there and she’s a beagle so gets very dirty with sand and all kind of muck but it gave it a good clean this morning.

The vacuum function is also excellent. Had to empty the bin several times it’s pick up so much dirt.

I don’t think we will need to mop our wooden floors again if I get the S5 to mop a few nights a week. It’ll keep the laundry and bathrooms in check except for maybe a once a week/fortnight mop by hand.

I was skeptical at how good could the S5 Max be but I’m super impressed.

Easy integration to google home well!

I replaced my first gen xiaomi with the S5 Max this year, specifically for the mopping function and I went in knowing it wouldn't be as good as an actual mop. I've been pretty happy with it, my dogs track a lot of dirt in onto our tiled floor and the mop cleans up most of it. It's never done a perfect clean, but the floor always looks noticeably cleaner and the mop pad is always pretty dirty by the time it's done. I probably have it mop the whole house twice a week with the occasional single room or spot mop here and there, I'd recommend it.
