14.4% discount? I will have to pass

I don't think I've seen it on special in 2020. Retires soon too.

  • Thanks got the last one in my area.

  • Thanks OP got one, kept missing out at discounted price.

  • No stock in nearby areas

  • Looks like only stock in Perth.
Anyone in Melbourne get one? I've been checking since Friday

    • Tried a whole bunch of postcodes (western and CBD postcodes), but no dice.

    • Showing in VIC

    • I got one from Kmart Eastland. Ordered it and did click and collect.

Toyworld at Highpoint have them in stock but they are $279.99. Saw them there on Monday this week.

  • I have been checking since few days ago - the “add to bag” button is clickable, but when proceed to checkout page it said not available for my post code. Oh well …

  • last week this sets were only available for Brisbane location and now WA. Yay. Thanks OP.

Sorry to hear that this is out-of-stock now after clicking add to bag. It was like that for me last week but I kept checking and managed to put an online order through (Sydney) early this morning.

  • looks like it's back in stock (for WA at least), just ordered one :)

    • Same, also got the Assembly Square for $299 with the list of suggested products under that item, although you can't find it if you go straight to Kmart site

    • i have been refreshing all day today (and in the last few days) … suddenly it back in stock for my area (Sydney) so just ordered one … let's hope I will receive it in one piece :)

      • Order shipped! It's a miracle! Let's hope it will arrange in one piece :)

Out of interest, for these 'online only' items, since Kmart online does not accept Kmart/Coles Myer gift cards or Flybuys Dollars, but they do accept these payment methods in-store, could you work around this by ordering online for Click & Collect, pay with credit card, then when you go collect the item in-store, you ask them to 'return' the item in their system for a refund on your credit card and then immediately buy it again using gift cards/Flybuys Dollars?

    • If they're not an (profanity) about it sure, but there's a lot of employees who will go oh that's against policy blah blah.

      • Well technically you can refund within 60 days, and repurchase on the spot with gift cards?

        • this is an online-only price.

          • @PissLUR: Yes, I guess that was the heart of my question - if I 'return' the Lego set in-store and then buy it again immediately, is there an in-store price? If there is, is it the same as the online price? Has anyone actually done this before?

  • My order (about 15 mins after this post) just got cancelled/refunded :(

  • I had my order cancelled too this morning. Looks like back online and heaps of stock.

  • Both of my orders to SE QLD were cancelled - I made them a few days before this post so I'm doubting there ever was stock??

  • I'm still waiting for my cancellation email. Not hopeful. Happened twice with the Assembly Square. Wonder if "online only stock" is still getting picked manually off the shelf from the closest available store?

heads up to anyone who had their order cancelled - it's currently $239 on Amazon…..get in quick and don't be a Broden!

  • My order came through, shipping to Sydney out of Kmart Woy Woy

    • Same! Mine is coming from Woy Woy to deliver to Melbourne. Never heard of that place before

  • +1

Seems you can order it again, but judging from comments will see if gets cancelled or not.

  • It's allowed me to purchase. See if it works!

    • good luck, I've received this today.

  • I suspect the same system used to count votes in the US Election was used in the KMart Lego tree house order processing…

3/11 - Ordered and got email. No charge on my credit card. Saw the Amazon link but didn't want to double order.

4/11 - Got an email saying there was an issue with my order and it would be cancelled unless I called them.
Called them, and they had issues finding my order but after a while they said they sorted it. They said that they just needed to confirm my address. My Credit card was charged.

5/11 - Got an email saying it was cancelled and my money would be refunded.

I saw the Amazon link but since I didn't get a cancellation email from kmart, I figured I shouldn't order it. Now I'm regretting not getting it from Amazon will it was still available. Grrr…

    • kmart has a 60 days change of mind return policy

      • While in the back of my mind I'm sure I could have returned/cancelled the order. I'm no Broden (No idea the genesis of this comment - hopefully I'm using it in the right context) I don't want to order more than I have to, 1 was enough especially with such a sought after set especially since it's below retail for this set which has probably never happened since it's been released. Give someone else the chance to get it and enjoy it.

Plus honestly I'd probably not have returned it. I would have liked 2 sets. 1 to keep and 1 to appreciate in value and later on to sell and pay for the first set.

    • I ordered on 4th and got email saying posted 6th, so think you just got stuffed around by their crappy ordering system. Same one that lets you add to kart but on checkout items are not available!

We may all be selling our lives to Amazon, but they do know how to sell and process items way better than most local stores.

If both kmart and Amazon had new stock likely other stores will get more stock soon too but perhaps not as cheap unless fluke 20% at Myer/DJs.

  • Back in stock but prob not for long.

  • Back in stock it seems. Same price.
