Yeah no they don't repair them. Into the bin it goes, and hope their marketing department has done enough to make people feel good. Hey don't blame me, I'm not the one doing this.

All true, unless, you know …. you have even an iota of an idea of how Apple operates, which you clearly don't.

Why don't you check out their environmental initiatives before sprouting absolute rubbish?

Apple’s Zero Waste Program helps suppliers eliminate waste sent to landfill
All final assembly supplier sites are transitioning to 100 per cent renewable energy for Apple production

As if you even care about the environment, anyway.

AirPods are such tiny, intricate devices that it is pointless making them repairable. It even says so in the article you linked:

The pods are made partly with recyclable materials but due to size and build process, it doesn't repair.

  • I wouldnt say getting fixed under warranty is free

    • good luck with them honouring it

  • FYI battery replacement for each is $85 - that is for $85 for the case, $85 for each ear piece. Its more of a push for Apple for you to buy a new pair than get them fixed. disgusting.
