Anyone Used 'hello Solar', a Solar Retailer? Any Good/Bad Experience?

Based out of one of Melbourne's northern suburbs and looking for 6.66Kw solar system. Recently got quoted by Hello Solar. There are around 400 reviews available online and comes to an average score of ~4 out 5. But still I wanted to check on different forums including Ozbargain, Whirlpool, FB etc. and see if anyone used them and how was their overall experience.

Will be seeking more quotes but Hello Solar seemed to have a strong presence in almost all states. Moreover 2-3 installers on a FB group told me that they worked for Hello Solar and they got paid well, (this may suggest that if installers get paid well, they're more likely to do a better job).

    They seem to be an approved retailer (https://www.cleanenergycouncil.org.au/consumers/buying-solar…) but I'm not too convinced.

      Thanks, yes read that thread but got nothing productive, mixed arguments. Did you get solar? If yes which installer did you use?

    Myself and 3 other friends all went with Hello Solar. No problem so far. They have deaccredited a while back but they said they sort it out and back in business now..

      Thanks, that's great to know! So how long ago you and your friends used hello solar? I know they were deaccredited for 15 days or so in Aug 2020 and also asked this question to the their rep to which his response was not completely satisfactory. Hence I wanted to understand if this is not one of the phoenix type companies.

    Solar quotes will forward your inquiry to 3 of their trusted installers. See what prices they give. No cost to you service (although they probably get paid a referral fee).

    I hope you didn’t go with this company - Hello Solar. I’ve just finished fighting them legally fo damaging my roof and leaving me without solar for the good part of a year. Sarah and Helen have no idea what they’re doing and are useless to deal with. I can’t wait to get my solar reinstalled and put this abomination of a company behind me. 0/10.. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!

      Oh, sorry to hear that mate. Hopefully they fix it for you. I actually did go with them and it has been almost a year and no issues at all. It most certainly depends on the installer. In my case they subcontracted a reputed local electrician in my area. I did speak with the electrician and requested to do a site visit. Luckily the electrician was visiting the area, he agreed to inspect the roof, electricity meter, wiring etc.
