Boost Mobile - No Blank SIMs (Telstra Port-in)

Has anyone recently requested a blank SIM from Boost for a port-in from Telstra?

I've contacted Boost 3 times via chat so far.

Chat #1: 22/10/2020
Boost representative provided me a dispatch number starting with DSP and "posted" out a blank SIM to my home address.

Chat #2:
~1 week later, no SIM delivered. Dispatch number returns "might be incorrect or not in our system yet" in StarTrack tracking.
Boost representative advised the previous dispatch number was invalid and there are no blank SIMs available with no ETA.

Chat #3:
2 days after Chat #2. Boost representative provided me a dispatch number and "posted" out a blank SIM to my home address advising I would receive the SIM the following day.

2 days after Chat #3, no SIM has been delivered and the dispatch number doesn't returns "might be incorrect or not in our system yet" in StarTrack tracking.

Read my comment on this page about best way to port:

The process can be quite stressful… i suggest porting to optus etc then porting back in to save a LOT of stress

  • Just buy a $2 Boost SIM card from any retailer that sells Boost SIMs. $2 SIM is the blank one and can be used to activate any plan or to port your number.

  • I was able to port over from Telstra PostPaid to Boost without a blank sim or a $2 sim. Just did it over chat about 2 weeks ago. Took a while as had to wait 15 -20 mins each time i sent a message for the representative to reply.

  • Boost rep mentioned the following if using a $2 SIM instead of the official SIM

"The special sim card that Telstra sends transfers your number to Boost seamlessly and faster. Unlike with the $2 sim that is purchased from Boost retailer, it has a pre-assigned number to it which needs to be removed first before your number can be transfer and which make the transfer longer."

Another day no blank SIM, so might be time to port to Optus/Vodafone pre-paid first
