[Solved] Amazon US via Amazon AU Shipping Costs Question

SOLVED thanks.

Hi, I am looking to buy a product over $49 from Amazon US via Amazon AU, but it shows +$15 shipping costs. It is Sold & Fulfilled by Amazon US.

Usually it says “Free shipping over $49 spend” for Amazon US products, but on this product it just says +$15 shipping.

If I start a free trial of Amazon Prime will this ship for free? Or will I still have to pay the shipping.

Thanks.

Free shipping for Amazon US items is only for Amazon Prime members and only if you spend over $49

    • Yes it is Amazon US item. Thanks.

  • Not all Amazon US items are eligible for prime and thus the spend over $49 and get free shipping. They must have the prime logo on the item page and you spend over $49 for international free shipping. You can combine items from Amazon UK and Amazon US to qualify (did this last month).

You can always ask chat to see whether they would refund you the shipping if you do spend over $49 on international amazon items excluding shipping but there is no guarantee they will.

Have asked for one Amazon US expensive item (aud $150+) wasn’t marked as prime eligible, where they agreed to refund shipping on delivery of item before I bought it. I saved the chat history as proof someone agreed to refund the shipping.

Can also confirm this works; did it last week

    • Hi thanks for your comment.

I feeling silly now, I went ‘back’ a page (to list all the items searched for) and it does say “FREE Delivery on Prime international orders over $49” under the product.

Just was missing from the product page so I got confused.
And I thought the only way to check was to start my free Prime trial.

Good to know you can combine UK & US items to get over the $49 spend though thanks.
