Is it true that Mana Bar Brisbane are no longer accepting the Cudo Vouchers?

Hi all

I purchased the Cudo deal back in Feb for the $30 spend and get a $100 voucher. I've seen in a couple of places online that some people are having trouble redeeming these. I was saving them to use for an end of year bash, but worried that now it may not happen.

Anyone else had any experience in redeeming these, and indeed if they are cancelled why wasn't I advised and promptly refunded?

  • Cudo is the the most dodgy of the bunch now. IMO. They just DO NOT respond to emails.

  • Just got an email response from Mana Bar - apparently the vouchers were only meant to be valid for 6 months, but Cudo put that they were valid for 12 months.

Disappointed in both parties about this. Surely an email to all those who purchased the vouchers would be better customer service than just ignoring it?

  • So, is Mana saying tough luck? That is completely unacceptable Cudo owes refunds. It was their error.

    • +1

Yep, have been told have to get Cudo to give refund. So indeed it is tough luck for me. I have a voucher and two other people I know have vouchers still to use. It has made me angry at both businesses :(

  • I actually went to use my voucher at the Mana Bar last night and was told that they are "no longer accepting those vouchers" and to speak to the curator if I wanted my questions answered. I got the distinct impression they had already had a number of arguments with customers about this.

I wrote an email to CUDO today for a refund and was offered credit instead along with an excuse that the bar had changed management but not told CUDO, which is not very convincing. It implies that I'm the first person who has alerted them to this situation, or that they have know about it, this is the reason, but they somehow don't feel responsible for contacting all of the voucher holders, offering refunds.

I wrote a second email stating that I expect a full refund as per their "Cudo Satisfaction Guarantee" policy.

CUDO messing up the six month expiry sounds a lot more likely, so it's interesting that they are simply blaming the venue now.
