Recommended Used Car under $10K

I am looking to buy a second hand car, with a budget around $10k. Can anyone help me finding the right make and model? The only requirements are:

  1. It should be big enough to fit most furniture, for example, most products from IKEA.
  2. With or without the baggage load, it should have at least three seaters (one driver and two passengers).
  3. Relatively reliable, low maintenance, and cheap to service.

My first choice is Toyota Avensis Verso, but not many of them are on the market in QLD.
Does anyone know other models similar to that Avensis?

I am open to suggestions for any other types, including Ute, but only those that have three-seater front row.

      Have you seen what old Hi Aces sell for? It's out of OPs budget.

        Yes, also it is a bit too big and more unsuitable for everyday driving compared to avensis.

    Ford falcon ute had bench seats up to 2010 I think..

    Is it strictly necessary to be able to cart furniture around all the time? How about hiring a ute/van for the 1 or two occasions per year where you might need it, which will open up alot of car options to you?

      Good thinking. What options do you have in mind if I cross that requirement off? I still prefer a 6 seaters or more though. Or a really small car that has better value for money.

        Why do you need 6 or more seats and the ability to carry half of Ikea with you everywhere?

        Buy a car that suits what you do 95% of the time. The other times you can either go "meh, too hard" or rent something/borrow a friend's.
