Fengmi Cinema 4K Pro 2400 Lumens UST Projector - Any Thoughts ?

Hi, I am looking for a UST projector. Initially I am planning to just project on the wall and may be add a screen later. I looked at Mijia 1s, Fengmi 4k , Wemax a300. I am inclining more toward the Fengmi 4k Cinema 2400 lumens projector which is ~2700 AUD in banggood website out of these 3 since its midway in the pricing and features. Please let me know if anyone has any experiecnce with these projectors and your thoughts/inputs. Thanks a lot.

Regards,
Pradeep.

  • Hi,

I've got the A300 and it's amazing. I also bought through BangGood and am very happy. Every night is a cinematic experience. Ours is a new house, so the wall is clean and flat, and painted with a vivid white and it's perfect. You forget it's even a wall and in 3D sometimes you feel like you can put your arm through it.

I also was initially leaning towards the Fengmi, but no 3D was a deal breaker for me. I mean, if you're going to splash out, do it right and give yourself the best possible experience, IMO anyway.

I searched online and got a 10% discount coupon, so that made it a bit better.

Happy to answer any specific questions. Tim

    • Thats great to know. In that case, I might consider a300 itself.I will hunt for some coupons now :) I have a new house as well. I was thinking if i need more money to get a screen later, I will save a bit in the projcetor. But if the wall is good enought, I might as well get the a300. any issues with fan noise since I have seen some reviews mentionining that ? Also hows the sound quality ? I am thinking whether I can just get a sonos playbase + woofer and put the projector on top of the playbase or I might go a full set 5.1 receiver + speakers. Thanks a lot for your inputs.

Fan noise is there, but I believe it is with all of them. We sit a few meters back and you only tune into it occasionally, but usually you don't notice that.

Having said that, I'm a perfectionist when it comes to this kind of thing, so I'm going to try and build a hushbox / media unit to make it super quiet. In order to get the biggest picture, we have it on the floor, so I need to make a unit that will accommodate that positioning.

We have an older sony 5.1 setup I bought on FB marketplace and it's great. The sound on it's own is fine, but you know, you have to go at least 5.1 if you're getting one of these things. It would be like buying a ferrari and then just driving it in a 40km/h school zone.

I also run it through an nvidia shield pro, as that gives me android tv as well as 4k and ai upscaling etc… it looks and sounds fantastic. Shield will always update as android tv updates so it's worth paying more for it.

I have a 1s on the way, should be here late Nov
Also ordered a 100" ALR screen for it

    • It arrived.
Still waiting for the other bits but very impressed with the picture even on a cheap non ALR 82" screen
