Chocolate Filled Wafer Sticks (Cigars)

Can anyone help locate some of these that are completely filled with chocolate rather than just lined with chocolate? They seem to have all disappeared in favour of the cheap lined ones.

  • help people help you? Where you got them before?
AFAIK even the ones from Asian grocers always been the lined variety, and it packs enough sugar

Aldi's were filled I think, though they tend to be seasonal items

    • and yummm!

      • Oh dear God yes. I was seriously hooked on it at one point

    • Awesome thank you!

    • The ones at Aldi were definitely filled, I bought them In October last year.
Belmont brand wafer rolls $2.99 per tin.
Haven’t seen them recently but hopefully before Christmas unless I’ve missed them.

Issue last holiday season was whole tins kept disappearing….

        • ☹️
But that looks like it’s on the shelf next to knoppers I know where they live 😊

The cookie and creme were also pretty good.

          • @Bad Wolf: I'm partial to choc hazelnut or fudge, vanilla as a poor second. Don't think I've tried cookies and cream yet 🤔

Yeah I'm surprised it was ranged in the normal biscuit aisle, it's usually in the middle with the rest of the temporary stuff. And below eye level too, though I wonder if it's just that particular Aldi.

  • Colesworth sometimes stock those but Costco and rejectshop always got them.

Nah they’re not the solid ones :(

Unless you have some good news for me!

      Costco ones are nice though.

Back in the 90s they were all filled. Then they turned stingy.

If this is the stuff you are looking for it is banned in Australia (and many other countries) according to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Candy_cigarette

    • naah - OP is talking about wafer sticks filled with chocolate

      • Aldi has the brown and pink cigars

  • Never known them to be filled. Do you remember the brand?
Now is the time to search for them that Christmas goods are out.
