Cheapest I have seen this kit. Not a bad price for Z5 + 24-200.

  • Well, if you search nikon z5 on google, it appears to be around 1700 for body only. Does Amazon provide extra care/guarantee rather than buying some where else?

    • I can see one shop selling a z5 for $1785 but with only 1 year of warranty which seems like gray box to me. Most are $2k+. The amazon link is from the official Nikon store.

Cheapest I can see the 24-200 is $1350.

Even if the Z5 is $1785 body only, that makes total package > $3k + shipping if bought separately .

      • Waiting the price of Z6 to drop for a long time, hope I can find some bargain during Black Friday sales

  • The Z 6 ii for 2889 (body only but with FTZ and battery bonuses) is also 20% off retail. If I didn't already have the first version I'd get it

    • Where does it sell for $2889?

    • +1

I was going to wait till Black Friday but the FTZ/Battery bonus expire 20 Nov so it's quite tempting. However, you won't get the FTZ for a while (ie: have to get promo application approved then wait for Nikon to send it to you separately) so if you don't have a Z lens, may not be able to use it until the converter arrives!

  • z6 ii is definitely my next camera

    • Seriously considering selling my Z6 for the Mark II…

      • Me ii
Wanting the 4k60 on the Z6 ii when the new firmware comes out.

      • Apart from new image processor and additional card slot, there is not that much of a difference between the 2 right?

        • +1

Yep 4k 60 is my main reason… Better autofocus but I'm not unhappy with mine anyway… Two cards handy but not essential for me

        • +1

The new USB Power Delivery is welcome if you do like long exposures. You can charge the camera while it's on and taking photos.

@penguinswillrise: Yes another good feature. The gimbal I currently use could power the camera from its 16850 batteries which are cheaper. Currently can't do that with the Z6.

  • This or z6?

  • This deal seemed to expire yesterday but the price is back again at $2699.95

Waiting to see what kind of deals the outgoing Z6 gets on Black Friday/Cyber Monday but knowing that the Z5 will pretty much meet all of my needs, this is also pretty tempting…

    • +1

Indeed, the 24-200 lens is about $1300 by itself so this represents quite good value. Could always re-sell z5 and buy z6 separately.

      • That's also not a bad plan. Although I think once I have it in my hands, I'd probably just end up sticking with the Z5. Other than the lower burst rate and video functions, I don't think I'll notice much difference. And to be fair, I'd only use burst modes for taking photos of the dog and the kids, and I don't do video production for work so the non cropped video function or the ability to shoot 120 fps wouldn't be greatly missed I don't think.

      • Ended up ordering it but will hold off opening until after Black Friday/Cyber Monday to take advantage of Amazon's change of mind return policy if something better comes along.

  • +2

Price has gone to $2799, with the $300 gift card it comes to $2499… pretty good value.

I also purchased this on black Friday using Shopback 12%, so I am expecting to get a further $330 back. Bringing total cost to $2169. Bloody good value! Amazon were nice enough to refund me the $100 difference between my purchase price ($2899) and current purchase price ($2799).
