[Android, iOS] Get a Special Melmetal in Pokemon Home (Pokemon Transfer from Pokemon GO Required)

If you send a Pokémon to Pokémon HOME from Pokémon GO, you’ll receive the Mythical Pokémon Melmetal as a Mystery Gift in Pokémon HOME. This Melmetal is a special one that hasn’t been available before—this Melmetal can Gigantamax in any battle in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield that allows it, such as a Max Raid Battle!

Please be aware that Pokémon HOME Mystery Gifts are only available on the mobile device version of Pokémon HOME, and the ability to connect to Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield is available only on the Nintendo Switch version of Pokémon HOME. Also note that you cannot feed Melmetal the Max Soup from The Isle of Armor, the first wave of content for the Pokémon Sword Expansion Pass and Pokémon Shield Expansion Pass. Depending on your OS or device, you may not be able to use certain features.

  • I am only 25 and this worked for me now

    • I've been at level 6 since its launch. I have no intention to level it up so I'm guessing I will never have this giant skinny legs.

  • Wow. Pokemon GO is still a thing? Even with lockdown? I thought that craze ended literally years back. But it generated USD445.3 million in 2020 according to screen rant.

    • they did quarantine events but yeah its absolute huge in japan and certain US states.

    • The lockdown was actually very profitable for them. They've been selling remote raid passes and had 1/4 multipliers and walking requirements for eggs. Going by the Reddit thread people were blowing tonnes just for something to do.

    • They did heaps to keep people interested during lockdowns…
They changed the method of obtaining coins to 20 daily via tasks and the additional 30 daily still from gym defence.
Not to mention automatic daily tasks, free gifts, a few free remote raid passes here and there, heaps of special research tasks, etc. So you didn't really have to spend anything, unless you were going hardcore!

    • What was so objectionable about that that 2 people needed to downvote?

  • So long as people realise… You don't get the Melmetal to use anywhere, it's just for your Pokemon Home dex.
But at least you can now get the Mystery Boxes for PoGo without having a Switch- Which I've finally just bought for the kids!
