Swagman’s Jerky Communication Issues? Déjàvu with Geronimo Jerky

I have had two orders with Swagman’s go missing. The first seemed to be Australia Post incompetence, the second simply not dispatched by Swagman at all.

I have sent multiple emails and phone calls, which the owner(?) Doug did answer once, but I am getting the distinct impression he is ducking my calls and isn’t keen about dealing with answering either order problems.

Has anyone else experienced problems like this with them?

I like their product, which is why I gave the the benefit of the doubt on the first order, but now I am wondering if I should just put in a chargeback with PayPal?

Sadly this is very reminiscent of what happened with Geronimo Jerky a couple of years back.

    Never dealt with them but if you've tried contacting and they don't reply, especially when you've tried multiple methods multiple times, then I'd definitely do a charge back.

      Agreed, you've tried to be fair and do your bit to chase up, but if they're not holding up their part of the bargain, time to escalate to PayPal.

  • I’ve left one last voice message on their phone … 7 days with no response I’ll open a PayPal dispute.

    Sad as it is a good jerky. Of all the brands out there finding one I like has been a hard slog since Geronimo Jerky imploded.

    • You're way more generous than I'd be. It's been my experience than starting a Paypal dispute is a good way to restore communications.

  • Update: was emailed shortly after this post with tracking numbers… fingers crossed as I do like their jerky

  • Placed an order during their most recent Easter sale. It has been 3 weeks with no shipping notification and no response to follow up emails.

    • They are still trading?
