Philips Hue Lightstrip AU Plug/Adapter Help

Hey guys, I need some help.

For those of you who don’t know. Generally speaking when you purchase a Philips Hue product, inside the box you receive a bunch of different country adapters to snap into the power supply.
EU, USA, AU plug.

Would anyone know where I could find a replacement AU plug?

I’ve lost mine and I’d rather not use an international power adapter.
I searched high and low, I’m hoping someone might know if it’s a common part that I could purchase cheap online.

Just to clarify. Not the power supply.
It’s just the snap-in AU connector.

Would deeply appreciate the help.

Thanks!

Your best bet would be to contact Philips Hue directly on 1300 303 404.

Or use their web contact form in the link (at the bottom of the page).

  • Expensive for what it is @ circa $32, but does this fit?

    Original source

    • That looks like it.
But it’s SO expensive and it’s international.

Wow. This is going to be a challenging issue!

  • I don't think there is a standard connector for this. In the likely event that you can't find one you'll probably have to use the US/EU plug with an adapter

(there's cheaper options than this, but the ones without partial insulation on the plug shanks aren't compliant to Australian standards)

  • Go to this website if your lightstrip is an outside version, get a new power supply free if that's the case

    https://www.philips-hue.com/en-au/support/outdoor-power-supp…

If it's not an outdoor supply, do as suggested above and give them a call

  • Gave Philips a call.
    Their official response was.

    “We don’t see spare parts”.

    Bummer!!

It’s for the lightstrips plus v4

  • If you still have one of the non-AU plugs, you can use it with an adaptor as previously mentioned, or with a xiaomi powerboard.

  • You could find a second hand unit maybe ?

  • I ended up just purchasing these.
The power supply is the thing you must concern yourself with (fire hazards etc)

This just gets around the country connector.

If anyone runs into this issue, cheap painless fix.

Definitely the OzB way to go (cheapest).

I have used these before and found them to be a bit loose. It might be worth using some electrical tape to hold the two together a little more securely and prevent any arcing, which is how electrical fires start.
