Commons Skinny Chino Pants Khaki $20 (Was $39) @ Target In-Store and Online

190

Found this nice price drop whilst searching for work pants. They have a deal currently 2 for $60 so it works out cheaper than that and you only need to buy one. It was full price last week.

I wanted this specific brand and style as I have these pants in black. They are a good fit and good quality for the price.

Sadly since lockdown earlier this year, I've been unable to wear any clothing which is preceded or proceeded by the words "slim" or "skinny". 😔

Last time I bought the Target chinos I get a like shuffling noise when walking. The thighs rub together with the hard material making noises. I do have big legs but don't get this problem with other chinos.

    • Try folding the cuffs up high to hear if that area is the actual problem. Most of the time the rustling sound is because pants need to be shortnened.

      • Nah they need to be lengthened for me if anything. It is definitely the thighs rubbing together making that noise

I'm trying, they don't grow fast enough though

    • It's the pizza, not the pants. ;) Don't fret, I have the exact same issue.

I found that Target had 3 types of in-house chinos - from skinniest to least skinny within the 'slim' range.

    1. Commons is the skinniest/tapered in the calf area, good amount of stretch throughout, standard chino finish.

    2. Preview smart are the next skinniest with a little bit more room in the calf and the bottom, i use them over boots. These are the thinnest/lightest of the range, very nice for summer, the most lycra out of the 3, they also look the most office friendly with a bit of sheen finish on the outside which look quite close to dress pants.

    3. The standard slim chino had the largest calf/bottom and the most elastin/stretch, i have short legs, so the larger bottom looked a bit odd on me. standard chino finish like the Commons.

  • You've come to the wrong place if you're trying to sell anything 'skinny'.
