I'm pretty sure this book is in the public domain because of it's age and therefore you can download the pdf at many places for free (legally). $0.80 is a rip off!

Except it's not. The book basically boils down to "Be interested in other people, and don't be an (profanity)"
That's not at all the case. As kapone said the book is about finding something that you are genuinely interested in, listen to people, and don't be an (profanity). Oh, and remember people's names.

i'd also add: learn to spell their names correctly, especially in email correspondence where their full name is already spelled out for you.

The title is really unfortunate. The book isn't about manipulation or about being a liar, it's about being genuine. Highly recommend it.
