Many retailers will install your meter for free or as part of your electricity contract, but you may need to shop around if your retailer does not offer smart meter upgrades.

Same. Got my smart meter installed for free from PowerShop. Their app shows me my usage per half hour.

I was with them about 2 years ago. Rates were not to bad but you had to pay ahead to keep the rates low. I had issue with them when they changed to the smart meter, they overcharged me and it was hard to prove it and complicated. But otherwise not a bad company. https://www.powershop.com.au/
