Need Advice from eBay Plus Tightwads

Hi all, I want to buy a router on eBay for $80.

I'm a previous plus trial member.

What's the best way to go. Sign up for plus for $49 and then use the 50 credit? (I'm assuming modems arent excluded?)

And what's the deal with the $30 credit when threatening to cancel trick too?. Can they be stacked together or no?

Thoughts appreciated

Cheers

  • its a one time voucher. you use all or forfeit remaining…

Modems are included and its kind of like a gift card so that's the best way to go and basically ebay pays you $1 to get ebay plus, Win win!
But you have to use the $50 voucher in one go, if you get an item that is $40 then the $10 remainder will disappear

  • Cheers guys,

    Signing up now.

Can anyone comment on the $5 bonuses they used to send out and the $30 retention offers if you go to cancel? Are they still going?

    • They still seem to do the $5 voucher every month. The emails about it are less frequent.

I'm about to cancel my membership (renews in 2 days) and see what they might offer if I forgo the $30 "don't cancel" offer.

      • Ok. Yeah I took up the don't cancel offer but I only joined this week so I have a feeling I won't get the $30 credit until next year if I renew the membership

  • Thanks guys.

Should I hold off until Friday to see if they're on sale for black friday? They didn't seem to be discounted last week for the singles sales.
