    Great Price.

Also $8 more at Appliance Online, no membership required.

Might get them to price match Costco.

    • +3

Via Shopback 0.7% would make Appliance Online a little cheaper with no membership. Either price is excellent and tempting…

Great price, but I wouldn't buy another Samsung TV on principle. I spent $1800 on my current one, only to have ads displayed in the menus. Infuriating.

    • +2

That does my head in, I got around that by doing a factory reset and not connecting it to the internet so its a "dumb" TV. Using my Apple TV 4K for the smart features which is leaps and bounds better.

      • +17

Best way is to block samsungsads.com and config.samsungads.com on your router.

    • +5

I couldn't agree with you more. Don't forget the app updates will drop off very soon when next model comes out. My 2018 Q7FN Qled is next to useless for updates. My LG OLED with webOS is much better. Would never buy another Samsung!

    • +7

And tracking what you watch with 'Automatic Content Recognition' even on the HDMI and phoning home with your data. Then Samsung TVs connecting to unsecured wireless networks they can find to phone home when you don't let them on your network.

    • +1

I got 2 Samsung plasma (mid range and top end) they both failed after 5 years.

This makes me want to move to another brand for sure.

      • +2

I hope mine doesn't fail anytime soon, I spent $8K on curved 78 in 2016, It is amazing piece of machinery but I am always scared about kids visiting and damaging it or TV just dying on it's on, If I can get at least 10 years out of it I'll be okay with it but guess it was stupid to spent that much money on TV in the first place.

      • +1

I got a low end Samsung plasma in 2012 too (from an ozb deal actually) and it died after 4. My 10 year old Sony 32 lcd still works to this day (bedroom TV).

I try and have no brand loyalty now but Sony has been great to me, all my life.

    • +2

I have 2 samsung TV's at home. Not buying another after realising they are the iPhone of the TV world, many products don't work with the TV unless it's specifically a Samsung product. My next TV will likely be LG.

    • sorry.. what do you mean ads? On the main menu screen when you turn it on? Is this the same for the Q95T?

      • Yep, ads incorporated into the menu, nestled among the app icons. Shits me to no end. Ads for Disney, Apple and Netflix content regardless of what you have installed.

Can't say with certainty about that model, but I'd put very good money on it. Pretty sure it's part of their smart TV menus across the board.

  • +5

    Response Time 100hz interesting

    • +4

      Its actually 60Hz.

      • Is that good or bad ? For non-gamer? I only watch sports and movies all in 1080 or 4K.

        • 60Hz is standard, your current TV would be in 60Hz. The bump up to 90 or 120Hz is much more important for gaming and some people mention sports.

I would check how much content is available in 4k @120Hz. I know you need HDMI 2.1 for it work on PS5, which this doesn't support.

  • I've been eyeing this for over a week now, it was this price at JB during their Singles Day sale.

Ended up getting the 60T for $2000 via Appliance Central and arrived yesterday! Excited to try it.

    • Wa that for the 75 or 65inch?

      • 75!

I actually hate it, and imagine this TV will be even worse.

        • why?

          • @matt47x: Dim screen, terrible display, just hate it. Doesn't look good. So muddy, lots of motion blur, the blacks look like grays. Avoid.

My Hisense TV I bought early last year for $1500 is way better.

  • Genuine question.. i know the Rtings review for this is meh.. but in person, this looks good if not better than more expensive TVs? Close to pulling the trigger… anyone else have this TV and can comment on it overall?

    • I have no advice but if you want the QA75Q60TAWXXY which I hear is a better model than this, Powerland has it for around $2000-2050

    • That’s a tricky question.

If you don’t know what you’re looking at and you’re viewing bright SDR content in a not too bright room you’ll probably never notice a difference.

However generally I’d say yes there’s a massive difference.

Just for reference, $1682.85 on the Samsung EPP Woolworths site.

    • +1

what is Samsung EPP woolworths site? can normal people able to access that price?

      • EPP stands for Employee Purchase Program, so I'd imagine normal people don't have access.

    • +1

      Weird - shows as
      $1,941.7 for me

      • Yes same to me

    • Which corporate EPP ?

  • +3

Costco will prob have some black Friday deals on TV's - we picked up our Sony X95 last year and it's still the lowest the TV's been 12 months later

    • You recall it was online or in-store only ?

      • We went into the store I don't think Costco had much of an online shopping thing going back then.

    • +1

      nice… how much was it?

      • We paid $1,800 for a 65-inch X95G super happy with the performance for that price.

        • +1

Hopefully the 65” x900h gets to that price this year

  • +4

Damn these Samsung deals all around. Waiting keenly for Sony deals which I guess are around the corner, hopefully.

I was traditionally a Sony guy. I haven't seen one in action for a long time but the last I saw the smart functions were painfully slow so I switched to Samsung. Now I'm looking to stick with Samsung due to the Apple TV functionality.

      • Don't know but I am reluctant just because of the picture quality of Samsung; it is too bright and in your face. I find Sony to be more natural. And I guess it is just a personal choice.

      • +1

the last I saw the smart functions were painfully slow

It uses Android OS now, it's very polished.

    • I thought at this price point Sony wasn't too good?

    • +1

didn't you see the deal Sony had direct from their website a week or so back - they were pretty decent

      • Oh I must have missed it! Not sure if it was posted on OB

  • +2

My current samsung is great but the ads are annoying as hell. Wouldnt buy another.

    • Does it help if you use an ad blocking DNS?

  • +1

no HDML 2.1….don't bother if you want to hook your new PS5 or Xbox to it

  • What's the quality of Samsung TV's like? I genuinely don't know. I got an LCD Sony TV in 2009 and haven't updated it since.

I'm looking for an excuse for an upgrade, but Sony is STILL going strong so don't know how to justify it.

    • Your excuse depends on the content you intend to watch. If you are just watching free TV then there is no point upgrading from your 1080p TV.

Everything else then you are long overdue.

    • My 2018 Samsung is quick enough. Paired with a fast Android box (nVidia Shield), no complaints. Pair the box with a Rii MX6 Pro (IR model) and you're laughing – air remote almost as good as LG.

I did have an issue with something in my network turning it on in the middle of the night (Samsung technician came around and just told me to turn off the Wifi on the TV). No issues now that I've wired it in with powerline.

Only reason why I'd upgrade now is for a bigger size (55" currently) or OLED.

  • +2

Any similar deals on 55" or 65" models?

  • Apols if I missed it in the comments, but does this do HDMI 2.1 to get the best framerate out of the Xbox Series X?

Feels hard to justify spending $3300 odd on a 65" OLED, when you can get these prices on a larger but still pretty capable beast.

    • +2

no hdmi 2.1 as pointed out

      • Which Sony 55 inch larger do you recommend thanks

  • +2

Great deal. Damn shame there’s no 4K@120Hz ability.

    Keep looking.

  • Just 100Hz

  • +5
    • +1

      Yes. Great Price !!!

    • +1

      Expired? 2,299 on my screen

  • +1

There is only 3 HDMI and one of them will be unusable if you mount it on the wall, otherwise good price

  • +4

    65 inch : $1,104.35
    75 inch : $1,682.85
    82 inch : $2,560.35

Those are the prices on the EPP portal (delivered). If anybody needs help getting one from there, PM me

    • Yes pls?

    • Is there any 85 inches one listed there ?
      Thanks

  • Not sure if this has been asked but recommendations for the best and cheapest non smart 75” 4K tv

    • Dont think there are any non smart big TVs left in the market anymore.

    • +1

Youre asking for the cheapest bottom of the barrel tv. No recommendations needed for nasty. Just go to kogan and buy the low end model there

    • +1

"best" and "cheapest" shouldn't be used in the same sentence
