Contemplating whether I should make the swap from Havianas. Its a bit of a gamble, you'll either look like a complete dad, a massive knob, or a really fun guy. Any croc owners want to get me off the fence?

Wear Crocs for the comfort and dress extremely casual. Think neutral colors shorts and tshirt casual. Not trackie dacks + crocs casual.

And forget about socks (unless worn exclusively inside your house under penalty of arrest).

If you're wearing Crocs to impress, you already lost that battle before it began.

I recently got some Croc thongs and they're really comfy. Much more comfy than Havianias which I've only ever worn.

To be honest, I don't think I'll wear Crocs when heading out somewhere such as the pub/cafe etc as I'm still young and don't want to look too 'dad-ish', but I am completely OK going down to the shops, to my mates etc with them as they are more comfortable.

I don't own a pair but I've been trying to get a pair of crocs on sale. They seem alot more durable and more multipurpose than thongs (footwear). I think thongs (..footwear) are not comfortable anyway like you sometimes get chaffing on your feet if you get a crappy pair

plus Sana from Twice was spotted in a pair :) (if anyone here knows Twice)

Crocs are good when you drop the butter knife on your toes but a pain when milk spills on it.

    • +2

there's plenty that look like thongs or normal sandals.

It's not what you own, it's how you own it.

Sure I get shit for wearing them, but they feel awesome, and goddamn i know i look shithot in them too

This. I bought a pair after I saw people in Japan just wearing them out and about and just owning the look.

I wear em anytime I would wear thongs (around the house outside, ducking down to the shops, to the beach, to touch footy before I put on my footy boots). I still have a cheap pair of black thongs if I want thongs to match my outfit, otherwise when I don't care what I look like I just wear crocs.

Old dad here. Bought some ripper yellow crocs from the Crocs shop in singletree 5 years ago…still going. I wear socks with them for gardening coz up here near Byron it gets warm and humid and your crocs end up really sweaty otherwise. I'm not allowed off the property with crocs on and if i have the yellow ones on with socks…trouble ensues. I have Aldi crocs too and at $8.95, they last just as long as proper Crocs but take a bit longer to wear in.

Pay them out as much as you like, but going to the beach or pool I'd rather wear Crocs than thongs any day!

No thong blow outs, they are much grippier, and more comfortable.

Even on a hot day going to the shops. Walking long distances in thongs makes your feet sore. Crocs are much better!

Extreme casual wear, don't try and dress them up because you cant.

  • Terrible company to deal with. A lot of "free and easy returns" plastered everywhere before you order, but it's anything but if you actually try to use it.

Sent me faulty slippers with spikes piercing my skin, sent the return request and photo evidence, no response. over 4 other manual attempts to email the company over 2 months, no response. Live chat only tells you to email.

Ended up going for a chargeback by the end of 3 months.

  • What's the sizing like? I have wide feet and normally wear 8.5 2E in New Balance.

  • Just got this today

Not sure if this will work on Black Friday

  • which model should i go for for casual wear? are the slip ons comfy?

  • +1

Why do they call it sitewide when there are exclusions :(

  • Anyone tried the Men's Swiftwater mesh or OL?

    • +1

I wear them as beach sandals. Don't have to take them off till I get home.

      • How long have you had them for?

        • +1

Bought em last year round this time from memory. Same 40% off sale.

I'm not hard yakka'ing it or anything. Just a bit of sun and sand a few times over summer.

          • @Shard: Cheers, went ahead and got a pair + Baya since they were $30.
            Just hope they fit ok.
Looking at Crocs reviews, seems like it can be a bit hard to deal with returns for sizing.

  • Is it better getting a pair from Crocs Au or using Cashrewards/Shopback for 7%?

  • Looks like this has ended, many back to normal price, so expired now.
