Xbox controllers - what's the diff??

Hope everyone is having a great morning. Am looking to buy xbox controller for friend for xmas. However, didn't realise there is more than one kind. What's the diff? Why is one cheaper?

He got an xbox a couple weeks ago, but it only came with one controller. Does anyone know which is the matching controller for that? And lastly, is the hut going to deliver in time for xmas - any experience?

Cheers, ozbargainers. You've always come through for me!

  • One is 2 pounds more expensive than the other…
    Otherwise, no difference, both are the wireless version and that's the only difference possible (apart from colour)

    Game.com.au often have cheap controllers and ship quickly.

    • Actually there is another difference possible which is the transforming D-pad which is a new feature but it is usually far more expensive and not worth while for most games.

      The difference between those two controllers is just a colour scheme match to the pack the xbox comes in.

      • I haven't seen or heard of that! Interesting..

  • Thanks. You guys rock!

    @scuba, I will check out game.com.au.

  • @scuba,I checked out game.com.au and they're a bit more pricey than the usual suspects ($69 vs. 20 pounds as previously mentioned at the hut).

    Ozgameshop have the elite for $37 including delivery. I would really like to order soon, but still not sure…

    Does anyone know which one matches the slim 250GB console that is sold with the game bundles at ebgames?
