Best Place to Sell Old Used Mobile Phone?

I have just purchased Samsung Note20 Ultra online and will arrive within next week.

I am planning to sell my old Note8, which is still in working condition, with minor scratches on body, and not scratch on screen. My kids are too young to have a mobile phone so I am not passing it to them either.

Where is the best place to sell this?

The only one I know is Mobile Monster, which provided quote for $260. However I do need to mail it to them first. They said that will mail it back if the assessment of price is different after they received the phone, and we do not agree with the final price. My worry is that they won't mail back the phone anyway. Has anyone had experience with Mobile Monster?

I am based in Sydney if this helps.

Mobile Monster or Mazuma are both fine to use. I've offloaded a few phones that way if you don't want to deal with the humanity of Facebook Marketplace and Gumtree.

Just make sure it is well wrapped and take photos of it.

Yeah you'll get a higher price on Marketplace or Scumtree but a lot more hassle.

The Note 8 will probably sell for around $350-400ish with original box n accessories on gumtree or FB marketplace but it is sometimes a hassle to deal with scammers and people low balling you. However, I've sold a lot of phones on gumtree and have gotten some pretty decent prices on my old devices. Sometimes when Ebay have their $1 or free selling listings (no final evaluation fees etc) then I sometimes post items up there.

When dealing with Mobile Monster n other providers I would document everything in photos n videos of the device. Any scratches or damage should have evidence. As some others have said make sure it is protected when posting and have all the evidence of the current condition of the device and you should get the quoted price and not an adjusted price as they would do so if there is more damage than specified.

If you are selling privately make sure it's cash only. Not PayPal, bank transfer, osko, Bitcoins or wristies. Their are so many scams for phones getting around.

The classic is that they'll buy it, swap it with their broken one and then try return it to you.

I normally get wayy more responses on FB marketplace than Gumtree.

honestly its cheaper to go this way rather then getting my front screened repaired.
