Google One Storage, What Country Has The Cheapest Price?

This post maybe too early to discuss, however this is related to the forum post that Google Photos "High Quality" Photos and Videos to Count Towards Storage Quota (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/580568). As an elderly, I enjoyed the easiness use of Google Photos. I am thinking to keep stay with Google, and use Google One storage. I know this is controversial, from the point of view, privacy etc. I am happy to persuade to other service.

If I stay with Google One, has anyone found out if Google One is cheaper in other countries? I meant, we know Youtube subcription in India is cheaper, Netflix from Turkey, I don't have a vpn to find out, unfortunately. If anyone has knowledge, I would be thankful.

Thank you

    100GB is $2.49 a month right? I thought it's pretty good

    • It is actually

  • I never thought about finding a cheaper price for Google One. Anyway I did a bit of searching and the Philippines has the same pricing as Australia so no joy there.

Another way to get this cheaper is install Google Opinion Rewards and you should get enough credit to cover the $2.50.

  • Speaking of google, has anyone try this https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001705827997.html and what kind of scam or hack is this?

    • Same a reddit softwareshare

    • it's probably just a google team drive. you can get them for free from certain websites

  • I'm using AWS S3 Infrequent Access for photo backups. About $45/annum for 300GB

    • How is that better google gives 200 for 44, with a lot of software features

      • In 2020 it was better, now especially with the Turkey hacks much cheaper.

        • It doesn't work tho. I tried the turkey hack did you get it to work?

@DrDan: Yes, just follow the guide and troubleshoot it. Was a pain in the behind though so won't be doing that again

  • You can share storage with Google One Family, however you can't control how much space each person has.
I migrated over to OneDrive work account to test but Google's service is way ahead, will probably go to 100GB then explore a family sharing later

    • Why do you think Google is way ahead? I'm using OneDrive but have been thinking of changing to google since I don't use any Microsoft office apps.

It's able to recognize people and pets and tag them, the accuracy for machine learning is really good. Then I can also create a dynamic album of them to share with anyone.

If I'm looking for something I search for what it is ie; car and it comes up.
